Thermal Binding Machine

Thermal binding provides a sleek and professional finish to your documents. The pages are glued to the spine and are held tightly. Pages can be removed and replaced. It is ideal for binding documents that require a high volume of copies such as annual reports.

The thermal binding machines can accommodate documents from 5 to 500 sheets (2.25″ thick). Most machines come with a little “start-up” adhesive, but the user must purchase adhesive separately from the machine. The wrap-around cover or perfect bind is the common paperback book. Pages are glued along the edge so no punching is required. After the adhesive has been applied, the machine will trim any excess materials from the document. Pages may be added or replaced by reheating the glue in a thermal binding machine and simply inserting or removing pages.

The main features for thermal binding machine are :

  • No hole punching required. Pages are held securely together (like a book) by a strong adhesive which glues the pages to the document’s cover.
  • Binds letter size documents. Binding capacity ranges from 2 to 120 pages.
  • Documents are permanently bound so they are secure, but pages cannot be added or deleted.
  • A built–in binder size guide determines the appropriate cover size for the document and a timer to tell you when documents are securely bound.
  • A built–in cooling rack is included.
  • Most machines easily fit on a desktop.

The steps involved in thermal binding are :

  1. Drop your pages into your cover, making sure that all the pages are touching the glue strip.
  2. Place your book into the machine and press power. Allow your book to cool before opening.
