Question by Flash13: Do you know the website for this?
My grandma was watching an infomercial and saw this website where you could buy a machine to make a story book. The machine binds it and it comes with the paper and everything you need to make a story book.
She also said that there was a “4″ in the website name.

It could be that your thread tension setting are off. If you check the owners manual, it should tell you what they should be set at. If that doesn’t work I would take it back or contact Singer and see if they have any suggestions.

Question by dr2112: What should I know about spiral binding machines?
Brands, quality? I am looking for something to bind about 20 pages and a cover for a total of 12 booklets. I would prefer something I don’t have to punch manually and 3 pages at a time. Does anyone have any suggestions?

For such a small quantity, it would be better to have it done at some copy service such as a Fed Ex/Kinkos, or those offered at Staples or other office supply store.
You either have to puch the holes manually, or use a maching that does that as part of the process.
If you HAVE to purchase your own machine, consider the Velobind system. Relatively inexpensive and VERY neat looking binding, compared to wire wound or even plastic finger spiral binding.

I mean the one that goes exactly to the music. Starts out with, “If you live your life, life is bound to teach you, that your half alive, unless you let life reach you. I’ve been a d***ed machine. Push a button adn I dance, Turn a handle and i sing, now this machine will fly and just one guy will wind the spring” and then it goes into the whole part that most of you know… anyone? can you find it?

Charles Goodyear, inventor of vulcanized rubber, wanted to make everything of rubber; banknotes, musical instruments, flags, jewelry, ship sails, even ships themselves. He had his portrait painted on rubber, his calling cards engraved on it, his autobiography printed on and bound in it. He wore rubber hats, vests, and ties. Neither Goodyear nor his family was ever connected with the company named in his honor, Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co.
Frank Gilbreth, a very famous Industrial Engineer, studied the body motions of individuals performing work in order to develop the most effective motion paths. After the outbreak of World War I, he was able, as an Army officer, to tell which potential military personnel were faking body ailments, such as limps, to avoid service. He also used his expertise to produce training films and procedures. One example was a procedure to disassemble and reassemble a machine gun while blindfolded.
