I sell on ebay. When I take my smaller items, like a sewing pattern to town, I only have to pay .58 to send one pattern, when I make a label thru paypal it costs way more and also costs me costs of ink, paper, wear and tear on printer and all, but mostly when selling small items, the shipping costs of paypal eat me up and I DO NOT WANT TO RAISE MY SHIPPING PAST TRUE COST. I used to have a small meter machine in 2001 , I think that may have been before paypal kind of took over ???? any ideas, I’m a bit antiquated as I am almost house bound. thanks

I want to use different fabrics and stitches for decoration and I want to be able to embroider with it and do a hem binding like for t shirts and stuff. Do I want a serger or a sewing machine? I heard that singers are crappy now that I should buy viking or beringer? I that true?

Serger for hem binding (be sure it has a safety stitch)

Embroidering machine for specialty patterns.

A 1 or 2 needle straight stitcher

An off the arm (Feld-lok) machine

The ONLY way you are going to pull that off is to buy used or surplus, and then you are only going to be buying someone else’s headaches. Juki (Union Special), Brother, Yamata and Con-Sew are the best made..all the others are TRASH, including Singer.

I want a website to tell me how to print and bind my own novel at home without fancy materials, machines or tools. I’ve written a novel but I don’t think Ill publish it its just for the family for now and i just want to make a couple of copies but I dont know how to set it up to print front and back on half pages and bind it.

You can buy black ink for your printer cartrige (ink jet) and just print the pages out on that. Go to your local quick print place and get the latest kind of binding done by them… it’s not expensive if you print the pages yourself.

Or go to an office supply place for ring binder equipment… people even sell ring bound books on Amazon… so it’s done rather commonly.

If you want to get fancy, do some artwork and have it copied on a color printer (for your cover)

Have fun and go ahead and list it on Amazon. If you have a great title you might sell a number of copies that will cover your expenses… and who knows… a publisher might see your work and want to give you a real contract.

I have a Singer and… well, it jammed really easily and it’s really old, so maybe newer one’s work better.

gbc ProClick P50 – got it online from continental printing supplies.
totally love it. use it all the time for everything from picture books to keeping info together that a staple won’t hold.
it cost less than 0.
