It’s called a “reel”, it pulls the grain toward the machine so the cutter-bar (sickle) can cut the stalks off.
Circa 1890s technology.

I think, in fact, that i have two binder feet. One is small with just the part that looks like an icing piping nozzle. The other has this bit and also a longer piece which has metal prongs that point vertically upwards. Can anyone tell me what this is ? What is the difference between the two?

a dating service?? no binding contract unless you signed a conract, if they lost the signaure page..ooppps sounds like they are trying to lure you in again. demand that she send you a copy of the signature page. if you have never recieved the signature copy then its not binding. she sounds like a shady lady

the gears are colliding, needs oil, or a different gear, because either the gear needs lube or needs a new gear… oh? machining process?
what type of machine? handheld? the same as i sayed..

I am trying to understand the pieces more precicely and know more of what I really need and do not or even if I need this whole scheme. Perhaps if you have a simple working example about the saving of dynamic data creation to file, I would be very happy to see it.

Your teacher must realize that books don’t last forever, so don’t worry about it.

If she says anything, try to turn it into a positive by saying something like “I spent a lot of time reading those books and it shows!”, then smile and tell her that you look forward to chemistry next year.
