Have been told by doctor that at seventh day of intubation patient will have tracheotomy done. Nurse also briefly explained how patient can eat if indeed she’s oriented and aware enough to do so. If not a tube would be connected to her stomach.

PLEASE, I would appreciate as much information as possible from either a medical professional or persons having had experience w/ this situation.

it is possible to eat after a tracheotomy, there are many factors that will effect this, things like how well the patient is awake, sometimes nurses give meds that make a patient sleepy/sedated the patient will be evaluated most likely by a speech therapist, who can see with a simple food dye if the patient is swallowing and not risking it getting into their lungs. which could cause problems.the trach willl have a special cap for when they eat. the tube if placed sounds like it would be temporarily. which isnt uncommon , patients need nutrition in order to heal. Also, I’ve heard of other scrapbooking tools out there such as diecutting machines. How well do those work? Worth the money or not? Prices, names, and opinions please!

If you make books – then the BIA is a good buy. I won one last year at a craft show and have still never used it. Diecutting machines opens a whole new can of worms. Do you need to be able to resize? Can you use a computer to create shapes? Do you only want to emboss? Look at Cricut, Provo Craft and Quickutz for just a few different types of die cut machines. Personally I own a Cuttlebug and a Silhoutte which get quite a bit of use – and I only make cards. Because of the price on all of these items – I suggest you search out the yahoo groups and other recommendation sites. http://www.splitcoaststampers.com has a few reviews and comparisons in the products forum.

I scored 4 points from a perfect score on the ASVAP, and I go to MEPS in about a month. I have been running in the morning before work (I get up a 4 a.m. for that). I do push-ups when I get bored and before and after I run as well. I also do my sit-ups until my stomach burns. I am used to getting exhausted at my marital arts classes, my shirfu is a Vietnam Vet and loves to pick on me, slams me, demonstrates full force on me, runs me, drills me, breaks me down. I got my motivation to join the Marines because of him. With all that being said, I am 19, 6′7″, and just barely over the minimum weight limit. I can’t seem to put on the pounds though… I guess part of that comes from the fact that me and my family are broke as shit and I can’t eat all that I need to. It’s hard to gain weight and recharge your muscles on rice beans and a little bit of chicken once, maybe twice a day. I work all day and go to school from my scholarships at night, sleep eat, repeat. Everyday. I feel like I am already on a military schedule as it is, but I know for a fact that I will get my ass handed to me on a platter in Marine boot camp. I just want to be prepared… so could a few Marines give me an example of a good work out regiment I could do before I go?

I have no support from my family to go into the Marines. My father is constantly trying to talk me out of it, saying I am throwing my life away, that I am willingly signing myself to a meat machine that is the Marine Core. My grandmother disapproves and just frowns and gets sad when it is brought up. My mother is understanding but she doesn’t want me to sign up and led along only to be stuck with an MOS I don’t want and stuck in a binding contract. I feel like I am looking at bleak opportunities here, and I want to get out, go places, become a Marine, and prepare for my future. But I have doubts on whether or not I am fit enough or cut out for it, with no support it makes it twice as hard.

I need some help from former marines, active duty, etc… Help me out

In addition to running and doing sit-ups, start doing a lot of pull-ups as well. You’ll need to be good at all three to get a good score on your PFT’s.

Ignore the nay-sayers around you. Joining the Marine Corps was one of the best decisions I ever made, and I loved my time in the Corps. As far as being cut out for it is concerned, it sounds to me as if you already have the heart and desire necessary. I’m sure you’ll do well.

you’ve mixed up multiple strategies together. this may seem like a good idea cuz it leaves your choices open but it isn’t that good cuz its hard to draw the card u want. stick to one choice so u can use cards quickly and have just one strategy from the first draw so u can focus on playing your trump card. keep it simple. this is very important. first pick what kind of deck u want: cyber drag, VWXYZ ,roid, cyberdark or drag deck. each one has its pros and cons and ill try to highlight each one of them.
Cyber drag- heaps of different strategies to use here but they’ve become very hard ever since cyber drag became semi-limited. u can still use proto cyber drag but it’s still pretty hard to work with if u want to focus on fusions. i prefer using the cyber drag tribute monsters such as cyber laser drag cuz they’ve got good attack strength and awesome abilities.
VWXYZ- these are my favorite machines to use. they don’t have any support cards but thats probably because they support each other. very easy to summon the fusions. the fusions also have awesome abilities. i don’t think I’ve ever lost a duel with my VWXYZ deck.
Roid-except for steamroid, all others are useless. very easy to destroy. i don’t recommend using these.( note: i have never used a roid deck so i might be wrong. this is just my opinion)
cyberdark- quite useful. u can mix these into your dragon deck
drag-probably the 2nd hardest deck to use. they might have the support cards but u need a huge deck to play these effectively. then again u could always use reload or card destruction if u don’t have a good hand. the best thing about these types of decks is that u can easily summon FGD with dragons mirror. i used to have a dragon deck but it was utterly useless save for the fact that i summoned FGD in almost every duel( but it didn’t really help cuz 9 times out of 10 it was destroyed by cards such as mirror force).
another flaw in ur deck is the deck number. 60 is considerably big. reduce it so u have about 40-50 cards. this will help in drawing the right card.
