The sad fact for the Iranians is that the only thing that will stop us from destroying anything in their country that we want to is how fast we can reload our artillery, missles, planes, etc. Their military cannot stand up to us, the only way that any of these terrorist countries stand a chance against a modern military is when they are hiding behind civilians and begging the UN to come stop the fight. (see Hezbollah vs Israel last year) You could ask any of the Taliban who participated in the war right after we invaded Afganistan. They would not answer you, however, because they were all turned to dust. For some reason they thought that digging trenches and setting up strong points ala WW2 was a good defense against our modern military, but it was not. The truth is that there is no country in the world that can stand against the US military in the field and not be pulverized within days. What stops us from beating these terrorists to a pulp and bringing peace to the world is the 5th column of liberal, peace-nik communists in our midst.
