If Iran is hit,what happens to our petrol/oil that goes through the Strait of Harmooz in Iran?

Hello people.If Iran is attacked,they can choose to block the Strait of Harmooz where most of the petrol or oil that is bound for Western countries.The worse case scanario can happen again when the Iranians started machine gunning oil tankers in the 80s,it is not a joke,it is a highly probable scanario and today when I filled my car it costed me $51.25 New Zealand Dollars

There are three US Navy Aircraft Carrier Battle Groups in the Persian Gulf as we speak. One of the carriers is our newest and best (so far), the USS Ronald Reagan.
Any attempt to blockade or mine the Straits of Hormuz or any other part of the Gulf will be met with destruction of the vessels involved.

Russia has already said that if we hit Iran,it will be an unwinnable war for us.So you decide,if Iran will be hit.SO we would not care about gas prices.

Sure Iran might “choose” to blook the straits, or attack oil tankers. The sad fact for the Iranians is that the only thing that will stop us from destroying anything in their country that we want to is how fast we can reload our artillery, missles, planes, etc.
Their military cannot stand up to us, the only way that any of these terrorist countries stand a chance against a modern military is when they are hiding behind civilians and begging the UN to come stop the fight. (see Hezbollah vs Israel last year)
You could ask any of the Taliban who participated in the war right after we invaded Afganistan. They would not answer you, however, because they were all turned to dust. For some reason they thought that digging trenches and setting up strong points ala WW2 was a good defense against our modern military, but it was not.
The truth is that there is no country in the world that can stand against the US military in the field and not be pulverized within days. What stops us from beating these terrorists to a pulp and bringing peace to the world is the 5th column of liberal, peace-nik communists in our midst. (i.e. Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry, Cindy Sheehan, any random anti-war protester)
