How does the Binding foot work for the Singer 99?
I have recently been given a Singer 99K sewing machine along with a selection of feet. I have worked out that one is the binder foot, nd after playing about with it, can still not make it work. I was wondering if someone could either describe to me or point me to a site that will tell me how to ‘thread’ the fabric through the foot so that it will work.
I think, in fact, that i have two binder feet. One is small with just the part that looks like an icing piping nozzle. The other has this bit and also a longer piece which has metal prongs that point vertically upwards. Can anyone tell me what this is ? What is the difference between the two?

Most binders work the same.

They both sound like binders, I wonder if one was for another machine. There is a knack to it. Try threading the material through the binder before you put the fabric you are binding under the foot just to get it started. I wonder if you could locate a user guide on ebay or perhaps write to Singer. I hope you manage to sort it, its sooooo frustrating! Good luck!
