Binding booklet without using pre-made covers?

Hello, is there a thermal binding machine that I can use without having to order the pre-made cover? We have nice company folders in paper stock and I’d like to use them to bind the booklets for clients. I prefer thermal ones, cause it looks much better than the others with wires. I hope to keep the budget low (within $300) since we have a small office. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
